Prepare one image for social media placements
Pick the placements you post, set each crop, and download that set. The sizes were checked on 25 September 2026.
Drag the preview to reposition. Use zoom so faces and products stay inside the frame.

How to create the sizes
Add one image. Square post, Portrait post, and Video thumbnail start selected.
- Use Browse files, or drop the image. A new file replaces the one that is open.
- Under Sizes to export, check the placements you want and clear the ones you do not.
- Press Create selected sizes. Each placement you checked becomes its own card.
- Drag a preview to move that photo. Zoom on that card runs from 1 to 3. Reset on that card returns it to the centered cover. With the preview focused, the arrow keys nudge that photo.
- Download saves that card. Download all saves a ZIP when two or more cards are ready. The ZIP is named pixzeno-images.zip.
One image, a card for each placement
Each card keeps the position you set. Moving one card does not move the others, and raising the zoom on one card leaves the rest where they were. That position stays until you open another image or press Reset on that card.
The preview is a cover. The photo fills the frame, and the parts that do not fit are left out. You place the subject. This page does not detect a face or a product.
A placement, a crop, and a pixel size
Crop image keeps the pixels inside a frame you draw, at that frame’s own size. Resize image uses a width and height you type. This page uses a named placement and exports that preset’s exact width and height.
| The job | Where | The download |
|---|---|---|
| A shape you draw | Crop image | The pixels inside that frame |
| A width and height you type | Resize image | That pixel size |
| A named placement | This page | The preset’s exact width and height |
What these sizes are
The table above lists every preset this page exports. A row is the file PixZeno will make. It is not a statement that the platform accepts only that size.
Instagram Help, read on 25 September 2026, keeps a photo at up to 1080 pixels wide when its ratio is between 1.91:1 and 3:4. At 1080 wide, that is a height from 566 to 1440. Square post, 1080 × 1080, and Portrait post, 1080 × 1350, sit inside that range. Tall portrait, 1080 × 1440, and Landscape post, 1080 × 566, are the ends of the range Instagram states. The Story or Reel frame, 1080 × 1920, is not in that feed article.
YouTube Help recommends a video thumbnail of 3840 × 2160 at 16:9, with a minimum width of 640. This page exports 1280 × 720. That is 16:9 and above the minimum. It is not the resolution YouTube recommends. A mobile upload should stay under 2 MB. Desktop allows 50 MB.
LinkedIn Help recommends 1200 × 627 at 1.91:1 for a Page post that includes a URL, and 1584 × 396 for a personal profile cover. A LinkedIn Page cover is 1512 × 256. This page does not export that cover.
The remaining rows are working sizes: several current guides agree, and the platform page did not publish that pair. The note on the card says which kind of size it is. Platforms can change a crop after 25 September 2026.
The JPG that downloads
Every download is a JPG at the width and height printed on the card, encoded at quality 92. A 2400 × 1600 test photo became 1080 × 1080, 1080 × 1350, and 1280 × 720 for the three presets that start selected. The ZIP held those three JPGs. Each name includes the preset id and the pixel size.
An 80 × 60 photo became a 1080 × 1080 JPG. The card says the export is enlarged, and that enlargement does not add detail. A photo larger than the preset is reduced to the preset’s pixels.
Transparent pixels are painted on white. A GIF contributes its first frame as a still JPG. A sideways JPEG is opened upright before the cover is drawn. A test file’s camera make, model, time, location, and orientation tag were not in the JPG. If the JPG is heavier than a limit you have to meet, compress that file next.
One image, on this device
The placements are prepared from the picture in front of you.
- JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF. A file that is not an image is refused. An iPhone photo saved as HEIC belongs on the HEIC page first.
- One image at a time. Each file can be up to 25 MB. A side longer than 12,000 pixels is refused.
- The image is prepared in your browser. PixZeno does not receive it. If you send a result to Compress image, this browser keeps a temporary copy on this device so the next page can open it. Clear images saved in this browser, in the footer, removes that copy.
Questions
Can one photo make several social sizes?
Yes. Check the placements and press Create selected sizes. Each card keeps its own position. Download one card, or Download all when at least two are ready.
Does Instagram require 1080 by 1350?
Instagram Help describes a range, not one required size: up to 1080 pixels wide, with a ratio from 1.91:1 to 3:4. Portrait post on this page is 1080 × 1350, inside that range.
What YouTube thumbnail does this page export?
1280 × 720. YouTube Help recommends 3840 × 2160 at 16:9, and a minimum width of 640. Keep a mobile upload under 2 MB.
What if my photo is smaller than the preset?
The export is still the preset’s pixel size. The photo is enlarged to cover the frame, and the card says that enlargement does not add detail.
Will the subject be placed for me?
You move each preview yourself. A wide cover can leave out the edges, so check each card before you download.
Is the image uploaded?
The files are made in your browser. A temporary copy stays on this device only if you send a result to another tool.
